Win Prestigious Magellan Awards Once Again Three of industry leader American Marketing Group's companies –
TRAVELSAVERS/NEST won a Gold Award for its Lifestyle Marketing Campaigns in the Travel Agent Organization/Marketing /Direct Mail category. Distributed on behalf of its travel agencies every other month throughout the year, the Lifestyle Marketing Campaigns drive new and repeat business to the groups' licensees and preferred suppliers. The program focuses in on the hot niche markets of: Romance Travel, World of Cruising, Family Fun, Experiential Travel, Luxury Travel, and Baby Boomer Travel. For each campaign, agents are given a marketing tool kit that includes customizable direct mail pieces, flyers and e-promos, and press release templates to send to their target customers.
The Affluent Traveler Collection also won a Silver Award for The Affluent Traveler magazine in the Travel Agent Organization/Marketing/Print Advertising category. Available in 18 countries, the semi-annual consumer magazine targets the luxury travel market and was created to drive upscale travel business to independent luxury travel advisors who are part of The Affluent Traveler Collection network. Its advertorials feature world-class luxury travel experiences at upscale resorts, city hotels, spas, and cruise ships, as well as special culinary recommendations. The magazine's editorial line-up highlights various aspects of "the good life," including luxury travel experiences, culinary offerings, spa experiences, must-have accessories, and exotic travel destinations for the discriminating traveler who expects to be among the "first to know."

This is the third year that American Marketing Group companies have swept up Magellans. In 2008, TRAVELSAVERS also won Silver Awards for its Mahalo Days direct mail program and its 007 Canadian travel agent conference; The Affluent Traveler magazine captured a Silver Award. In 2009, TRAVELSAVERS brought home a Silver Award for its JOURNEYS magazine; and The Affluent Traveler magazine again won a Silver Award.
The Magellan Awards recognize the best in travel and outstanding travel professionals in a broad range of industry segments, including hotels and resorts, travel destinations, cruise lines, online travel services, airlines and airports, travel agents and agency groups, tour operators, and car rental companies. The competition is judged by a panel of top travel professionals representing some of the best names and most accomplished leaders in the travel industry.
